On December 5, 2023, the Commission actively participated in the First Banking Summit organized by the Association of Banks of Serbia. The summit was attended by significant panelists, including the Chairman of the Securities Commission, Marko Janković, the Governor of the National Bank of Serbia, Dr. Jorgovanka Tabaković, the Governor of the Croatian National Bank, Dr. Boris Vujčić, the Governor of the National Bank of North Macedonia, Dr. Anita Angelovska Bezhoska, the Vice Governor of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Marko Vidaković, and the Director of the Banking Supervision Department at the Central Bank of Montenegro, Dejan Vujačić.
The theme of this significant summit was the analysis of the current state of the banking system in the Western Balkans countries, with a special focus on the perspectives of regulatory bodies and banks. The Commission actively contributed to the discussion, providing its expert insights and perspectives on key aspects of the banking sector. This participation aims to strengthen cooperation and exchange of information between regulatory bodies and financial institutions, with an emphasis on enhancing the stability and efficiency of banking systems in the Western Balkans region.
