The Commission in cooperation with the OSCE Mission to Serbia held a workshop for auditing firms

On December 3, 2024, a workshop titled "Innovations in auditing supported by artificial intelligence in the context of implementing the Law on the prevention of money laundering and terrorism financing" was held, organized by the Securities Commission in cooperation with the OSCE Mission to Serbia. The goal of the workshop was to provide auditing firms with a deeper understanding of the latest technological innovations brought by the application of artificial intelligence and related technologies in auditing, particularly from the perspective of implementing the Law on the prevention of money laundering and terrorism financing.

Over 80 participants from auditing firms in Serbia attended the workshop, which was organized as part of the continuous process of enhancing knowledge in auditing practices. Participants had the opportunity to hear about the latest regulatory activities and practices from representatives of the Securities Commission, the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Belgrade, developers, and practicing experts.

Topics covered during the lectures included the use of artificial intelligence in analyzing large datasets, managing additional workplace stress caused by new technologies, improving auditing methods supported by innovative technologies, and risk identification processes in accordance with the Law on the prevention of money laundering and terrorism financing.
