On Tuesday, 19 April 2022, promotion of the program Serbia Ventures was held on the premises of Yugoslav Film Archive. The objective of the program is to support private venture capital funds in Serbia. The event was organized by the Serbia Innovation Fund, in cooperation with the Office of the Prime Minister and the Digital Serbia Initiative. Marko Janković, Chairman of the Securities Commission presented the key considerations in authorization of private venture capital funds in Serbia.

As the deadline for submission of annual statements is 30 April and this year it is Saturday, a non-working day, public companies are to submit their annual reports by the following working day –  Wednesday, 4 May 2022, by 6 PM, which is the end of working hours of the Securities Commission Electronic Submissions Gateway. 

The Republic of Serbia Assembly adopted a new act on the capital market. After ten years of application of the “old” Capital Market Law (RS Official Gazette, No 31/11, 112/15, 108/16, 9/20 and 153/20) amended and fine-tuned on several occasions in this period, in response to the needs and developments of the market and its participants – Serbia now has the new, more comprehensive and detailed, EU-aligned text. The new law is aligned with the EU regulations governing   markets in financial instruments (MiFid II), prospectus,  investor compensation regimes, transparency, settlement finality in securities settlement systems, and market abuse.
