Broker license revoked from Vladimir Petrović

The Republic of Serbia Securities Commission has ascertained that Vladimir Petrović, a broker, violated the provisions of Article 180 of the Law on the Capital Market on client funds held on accounts, while providing investment services and performing investment activities.This represents a material and a serious violation of the Law on the Capital Market.

World Investor Week 2021

  • 05 October 2021
World Investor Week (WIW) is a global campaign promoted by IOSCO to raise awareness about the importance of investor education and protection and highlight the various initiatives of securities regulators in these two critical areas. In October, IOSCO securities regulators and other IOSCO members on six continents will provide a range of activities, such as launching investor-focused communications and services, promoting contests to increase awareness of investor education initiatives, organizing workshops and conferences, and conducting local/national campaigns in their own jurisdictions. Jurisdictions can choose a week of October or November to promote financial and investor education.

Serbia updates its understanding of risk in various areas

On 30 September 2021 Serbian Government adopted the ML NRA and TF NRA updates, ML and TF Risk Assessment for VA and VASPs, and Risk Assessment for the WMD Proliferation Financing. The risk assessments cover the period of three years (1 January 2018 – 31 December 2020).
