Recommendation by the Securities Commission on joint audits

In joint audits, two (or more) audit firms are appointed to share responsibility for a single audit engagement and to produce a single audit report. Article 34 of the Audit Law provides for such a possibility, an option for public-interest entities to contract statutory audit services with several independent audit firms. However, there are clear indications that such arrangements might harm the quality and independence of audits, and mandatory audit firm rotation.

Deadline for submission of financial statements

  • 29 April 2021
As the deadline for submission of annual statements is 30 April and this year it is a a non-working day, a holiday, public companies are required to submit their annual reports by the following working day –  Wednesday, 5 May 2021 by 6 PM, the end of working hours of the Securities Commission Electronic Submissions Gateway.

Withdrawal of license from Jorgić broker

  • 29 March 2021
On request by the broker-dealer company, the Securities Commission revoked the investment firm license/authorization from the company Jorgić broker. Financial instruments of clients of this broker-dealer company, who had not selected an investment firm on their own, were transferred to Tesla Capital broker-dealer company, free of charge.
